Well the normal ones, sit, stay, potty training of course is one of the highest ones, make sure you have treats, and when you are teaching how to potty have a lease and bring him and when he goes, give him a treat. Teaching him how to sit, push his butt down and say sit, and when he does the action, another treat. Positive treatment is the fastest and surest ways to a rightful training session.

sit. lol start small, and progress big. if you find within 8 weeks he knows how to sit, and you dont have to ask him twice.. start up on a new one. i believe the second one i taught my chocolate lab was "high five" lol or giving me his paw. eventually go to lay down, and roll over. if you’re dogs really good.. try to teach him this: i tell my lab to "leave it" and i put a flat treat above his nose, i tell him to leave it again and then he flips it up and catches it. cutest thing, and very talented! lol good luck with you’re new buddy and his tricks. =)

Crate train the pups- this will also help housebreak them since dogs are den animals and do not like to soil where they sleep. Also, socialize them with everything (make sure 1st vaccines are on board) – this will make them better adjusted later in life.

Socialization is goal #1. This is time for bonding, but if the pup happens to learn how to sit and go outside to do it’s business it won’t hurt anything and will help the pup learn how to learn.

    It depends on you!
We have had Kai, our now 14 week old GSD for 4 weeks and he has learnt.. Toilet outside, sit, drop, watch, touch, fetch (we say "get the ball"), come and is just getting the hang of roll-over! He also knows things like "on your bed" and "wait" for dinner and always sits at the edge of the road before crossing, alot of the time without having to be told. But we have him enrolled in puppy pre-school, so he goes there once a week, plus we spend HEAPS of time with him, We go for walkies and play in the yard and we all snuggle up on his bed if we’re watching tv haha. Socialisation is VERY important! I would recommend enrolling your puppy into puppy pre-school, you can socialise them in a safe environment plus they teach you how to teach your puppy.

potty training, SOCIALIZATION to everything, i.e. other dogs, all kinds of people, men, children…
as for obedience sit is the easiest and fastest to teach. But you can enroll them in obedience classes at 5 or 6 months of age.
