how much for puppy training classes?

Posted on Jul 15, 2010 under puppy training | 8 Comments

I am not asking for information on a specific training classe. If you’ve brought your puppy to ANY training class, could you please let me know how much it cost for how many weeks and how long one session was.

My runs $100 for an 8 week course. If you join the training center (for $20 a year) your classes are $50 and if you help train a class, they are free:)

It might depend on where you are. But, in the south, puppy classes were about $60 for 8 weeks, obedience was about $90 for 8 weeks.

It is WELL worth the money, though!

£75 for 6 weeks an hourish per session
and you get a years guarentee so if your dog is still not trained you continue.

that’s in London and was one of the cheapest yet good classes i could find.

Im taking my puppy to the BRITTISH ACCOSIATION FOR GERMAN SHEPHERDS and you have to pay a membership fee of £14 (thats a joint membership: meaning 2 or more people can train the dog, a single membership is £10) then every week when we go to training its £2.50

90 bucks at petsmart for 8 weeks… was worth it… and I am a vet tech… learned a lot of neat little tricks, and was great socialization.

I don’t know where you are, but if there’s a petsmart near you, the prices range from 99 to 109, depending on the location of the store.

It totally depends on whether you go to a private trainer (more expensive) or Pet store like Petco or PetsMart (moderately expensive), or to your local shelter or Humane Society (usually the least expensive). For example, our local shelter offers a 4 week class for $55. A well regarded local trainer charges $150 for a 6 week class.

Where ever you go, it will be well worth it!

Our first course of action was to do the 8 week program (8 sessions) at Petsmart. That cost was $119 and a total waste of money.

Our next course of action was a 2 week puppy boot camp that is roughly a thousand.
